Professor Trent Twomey

As the Vice President of the World Pharmacy Council and National President of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, Trent is a distinguished leader with a rich tapestry of accomplishments. Holding pivotal roles such as President of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia in Queensland, Professor at the School of Medicine & Dentistry at JCU, and Director of Advance Cairns.

Trent brings a wealth of expertise to Anglicare NQ. His contributions extend beyond the pharmacy realm, holding positions such as Chairman of Trinity Anglican School.

Kathy Romano

Kathy Romano is a seasoned business leader with extensive experience in the education sector. She currently serves as the Head of Business Services at Trinity Anglican School (TAS), where she plays a key role in ensuring the school’s financial health and operational efficiency.

Before joining TAS, Kathy held the position of Business Manager at The Cathedral School in Townsville for over a decade. Her expertise in financial management, administrative operations, and strategic planning has been instrumental in the success of both schools.

Dave Pugh

Dave Pugh is a consultant specialising in human service organisations, demonstrating a commitment to the effective management and governance of Aboriginal-controlled entities. Having served as the CEO of both Anglicare NT and St Luke’s Anglicare, he brings a wealth of experience in executive leadership. Currently, Dave holds a pivotal role as a Director at CAAPS Aboriginal Corporation, contributing his expertise to the strategic direction of the organisation.

His extensive knowledge spans service design, management systems, governance, and social policy, reflecting a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted aspects of the human services sector. Dave’s dedication to supporting Aboriginal-controlled organisations underscores his passion for fostering positive outcomes within the community.

Father Kenneth Lay

Father Kenneth has been a Board Member since 2020, serving as Archdeacon of the South and Dean at St James Cathedral. Previous roles include Rector at Mossman/Port Douglas Anglican Ministry Unit, Vicar and Pastoral Chaplain at Anglican Parish of Aberfeldie and Overnewton Anglican Community College, and various leadership positions in Anglican parishes and rural communities.

A dedicated professional with a background in education, including roles as a Secondary School teacher and administrator, and University Lecturer. He is a Life member of Flinders University Choral Society, and a member of the Australian College of Education and the Australasian Religious Press Association.

Dr. Tim Linton

Dr. Tim Linton has dedicated over 40 years to General Practice, with a particular focus on GP Obstetrics. His career spans various regions, including 10 years in Nepal (with 5 years as hospital director), Gippsland in Victoria, Gove in the Northern Territory, and more recently, Yarrabah near Cairns. Dr. Linton also works with the Royal Australian College General Practitioners (RACGP), facilitating training for doctors to practice in remote and isolated areas across Australia. Additionally, he has undertaken short-term assignments in several Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory and Western Australia, reflecting a strong commitment to serving diverse and under-served populations.

Ashley Perez

Ashley Perez is the Chief Operating Officer at Somerville Community Services and has over 20 years leadership experience working in the education and community services sectors in Western Australia and Victoria before moving to the Northern Territory in early 2015. Ashley has extensive experience working in national program implementation, community services, partnerships, communications and community engagement. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders and also currently serves as Chair of the Y Northern Territory.

Paul Sjogren

Paul has been Principal at Trinity Anglican School in Cairns since 2017. He has a history of involvement in Queensland’s regional Anglican schools since moving up to Mackay from a regional Anglican school in Victoria in 2003.

Previously a civil engineer, Paul has made a commitment to social justice and regional Australia and recognises the efficacy of education in achieving positive outcomes for all, particularly for those who may have previously disengaged from formal educational systems.
