Our purpose

Empowered, full and active lives and equity for all.

Our foundations

Operating within the Anglican Diocese of North Queensland, we are governed and managed by a local Board and Leaders. We aspire to justice and mercy for all through the life teachings of Jesus Christ.

We acknowledge and celebrate the First Peoples of Australia and pay respect to Elders past and present. We are committed to reconciliation and closing the gap.

Our commitment to children and young people

Anglicare NQ’s Board, management and staff (employees and volunteers) want you to know that we are committed to providing child safe environments and culturally safe care and support for the children and young people who access our services. This means we consider the safety and wellbeing of children and young people a priority in all aspects of our work and create opportunities to respond to needs and hear the voices of children and young people in meaningful ways. We seek to continually improve what we do, we want your feedback and are proactive in fulfilling our obligations under the Child Safe Organisations Act 2024 and Child Protection Act 1999 and related Standards.

Anglicare NQ is a member of Anglicare Australia and is an ACNC Registered Charity.
