Our Strategic Plan

Our Purpose

Empowered, full and active lives and equity for all

Our Values

Integrity – Inclusion – Courage – Respect – Compassion

Our Foundations

Operating within the Anglican North Queensland Diocese, we are governed and managed by a local Board and Leaders. We aspire to justice and mercy for all through the life teachings of Jesus Christ.

We acknowledge and celebrate the First Nations Peoples of Australia and pay respect to Elders past and present. We are committed to reconciliation and closing the gap.

Our Operating Principles

Place-based

Place-based and community-driven services, activities and programs.

Safety
We are committed to providing physically, psychologically and culturally safe services and workplaces.

Evidence-based

We draw on best practice, underpinning evidence in program design and management.

Self-determination

The view and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are central to our services and represented in our management and governance.

Equity

Our programs, services and employment opportunities are open to all, without discrimination.

Accountable and transparent

We are accountable to funders, donors, regulators, clients and to the communities we operate in.

Trauma-informed

We are trauma-informed in program design and in the way we work with and respond to people. This includes awareness of the impacts of First Nations’ dispossession and inequity.

Outcomes-driven

We strive to design and operate our programs and activities so as to support people to move towards the goals that are important to them.

Collaboration
We collaborate internally in the best interests of clients and the community.

Innovation
We value innovation and seek feedback on improvement from clients and users, families, communities, academic experts and funders.
